HVAL

The largest and most powerful monolithic driftwood sculpture in this collection.
Found and created in Norway.

I have never seen a whale in real life.
But it was enough to imagine — even just the tail disappearing into the water.

This image has stayed with me since 2012, when I first connected deeply with the story of Jonah and the whale.
That was when the idea of an animated film appeared — not as an illustration, but as an experience of that encounter.

I understand the scale:
it would take years, a full team, and complex production.

For now, the film does not exist.

So this whale is not just a piece of wood.
It is a fixed idea.
An unfinished act.
A reminder of something I will return to.
